App Smackdown Presentation: Canva
I chose Canva as the app to explore for this presentation, because I have used it throughout my academic career, and I could definitely see myself using it in my future career as well. Canva is a design tool that helps create and enhance presentations, resumes, logos, and a variety of other things. One feature of Canva that makes it stand out from other design apps, is its wide variety of premade templates that are readily available to customize. This makes it easier to create presentations and format them, so they can be presented neatly and organized. Aside from their templates, you can also start on a blank canvas and create your own design. I also like how this website has both free and subscription versions, making it available to anyone.
I believe Canva is a great and easy-to-use tool for collaboration and group projects. It is also very easy to download and submit to a destination, and it is accessible from all devices. You can also upload your own files and photos to your Canva project as well. This makes it a great tool for college students, allowing for real-time collaboration with group mates, and effortless uploading. Canva can also really help college student's presentations stand out to their professors.
Canva can be very beneficial for anyone in the business/finance field. Not only can it help to create resumes, build LinkedIn profiles, and amplify one's portfolio; it can also help with a variety of other business functions. It can be used to create charts, graphs, or easy-to-digest visuals from data and it can also create organized reports. On the entrepreneurial side, it can help to create logos, website designs, and flyers for a business. Overall, Canva is a useful tool that one could use in their business career, in order to stand out and show off their creativity.
Addison, it’s the first time I’ve heard of Canva, but it helps put everything design into a simple to use app. This helps with not having to use multiple different apps for presentations, resumes and social posts. How could AI contribute or take away from Canva?
